*Please practice the basic multiplication and division facts with your child each night for at least 15 minutes, as 5th graders should be able to complete with 95% accuracy 100 multiplication facts in 4 minutes.

*Please practice the writing concepts of developing an interesting topic sentence; describing the topic with vivid details; including powerful verbs in your writing; identing; punctuating correctly; and developing an opening sentence to grab the reader's attention, and a strong concluding sentence.
