Welcome to 6th Grade!

My name is Laura Sirianni.  I grew up in Lincoln Park and now reside in Allen Park.  I have been married for 20 years and I have two children.  My older son, Jake, is 19.  He attends University of Michigan-Dearborn, so I still get to see him everyday.  :)  Nick is 13 and in eighth grade this year.  Both of my boys love baseball and my husband coaches, so we spend much of our summer at baseball games and tournaments...fun!  This is my ninth year teaching at Summit Academy.  I received my Teaching Certificate from the University of Michigan - Dearborn and I recently earned my Master's Degree (with a math focus) through Marygrove College.  I love the art of teaching and learning.  I believe in being a life long learner.  I also believe in our children as our future...that's what keeps me going!

I am very excited to be teaching 6th grade again this year.  I have taught 2nd through 6th grades while I have been at Summit.  I have enjoyed the students at all levels, but I found that I love to teach the sixth grade curriculum.
