Expectations


In order to make this school year a success much effort will be needed from YOU (the student), your parent/guardian, and me.  YOU will be expected to do many things each day in order to be successful in each of your classes, as well as maintain a good grade in here.


·        Arrive to class on time- this is a very important skill to have.  When you arrive late, you may miss important information, as well as disrupt your other classmates.

·        Come to class prepared- If you do not bring the materials that you need to complete your assignments, then how will you do them?  Not to mention the time you waste trying to find your materials.

·        Fill out daily planner- This will help you to stay organized and keep track of upcoming assignments, due dates, etc.

·        Use class time wisely- This is the only way that you will benefit from having this extra time in your schedule to complete all of your assignments.

·        Be respectful- treat others and all property with respect.  Disrespect will not be tolerated.  It is important for everyone to feel comfortable in school.

This class is a privilege!  Please use it to its full extent!There are no excuses- The only choice that you won’t have is the choice to do nothing.If you happen to finish early, there are many other things that you could be doing (read, research, job inventories, etc.)  There are many things, just see me and I will help you out. Electronics reminder- You are not permitted to use any electronic device unless instructed or given permission by me.  Failure to follow these rules will result in consequences. 

These things will ensure that each student is successful in Academic Assist and will take many things from it.  I will be available to answer questions, offer extra help, or anything else that the students or parent/guardian may need.  I will be in my office before and after school every day, and can be reached by email or telephone at the information below.
