Applied English
Welcome to Applied English!
This year in Applied English we will be covering many new and exciting things. We will be working on fun and educational projects as well as reading new chapter books.
The following are topics and units that we will be covering throughout the year:
¨ Daily journals
¨ Daily (proofreading, test prep, editing, etc.) warm-ups
¨ Parts of speech
¨ Reading Comprehension
¨ Writing (research, creative, poetry, etc.)
¨ Grammar
¨ Punctuation
¨ Exciting chapter books
¨ Spelling (definitions & tests)
¨ Much, much more!
In order to make this school year a success much effort will be needed from the students and their parent/guardian along with myself.
I will be available to answer questions, offer extra help, or anything else that the students or parent/guardian may need. I will be in my office before and after school everyday, and can be reached by email or telephone at the information below. With a combined effort and clear communication, I look forward to a fun and exciting school year in Applied English!
