2nd - 3rd Grade : December

 

 

For the month of December, students will be making small clay bowls with a winter theme. Students will learn clay techniques and make a small pinch pot and shape it into a bowl. Students will decorate their clay bowl by scratching into the surface and by attaching clay pieces. 

 

These will be fired in the kiln. Once out of the kiln, students will glaze their pieces. The clay bowls will go back into the kiln. When they come out a final time, the pieces will be shiny.
