Arts and Crafts - September

For the month of September, students will be creating large 3D sculptures using plastic bags, newsprint, masking tape, yarn, and duct tape. Students will be working in groups of 2 or 3 to create either an alien or monster sculpture.

Parents:

Students have been asked to bring 1 or 2 rolls of duct tape to class for this project. They can use any color duct tape that they would like. Even patterned duct tape is fine. The best place to get colored duct tape is at a dollar store, although I have found some at Five Below and Michael's as well.

If you would like to donate plastic bags, old newspapers, or masking tape, the art room would greatly appreciate it for this project.

Here is my monster in the first stage of construction. Plastic bags have been stuffed with newspaper and attached together to create the basic shape of my monster.
