Planners and Planner Points

Planners

Planners are a way for parents to know what is going on in the classroom and allow for an open form of communication between teacher and student.

Daily

Each morning your student will come in a fill out what their planner for the day.  This will consist of important announcements, homework, and a short description of what we learned that day.

At the end of the day your student will receive their planner points.  These points are a reflection of their behavior that day.   Each level of the behavior clip chart is assigned a point value. Points are added up at the end of the week. Students who have their planner signed, have earned at least 25 point, and have all their work completed will get to participate in Fun Friday.

Off the Chart = 9 points

Top of the Chart = 8 points

Outstanding = 7 points

Great Job = 6 points

Good Day = 5 points

Ready to Learn = 4 points

Think about It = 3 points

Teacher's Choice = 2 points

Parent Contact = 1 point

Office Referral = 0 points

It is expected that parents sign their student's planner each night to communicate to the teacher that they have seen it.  Student's who do not have their planners in class and signed each day will loose choice.

This is one of the many tools we utilize to teach students to become responsible independent learners.
