Life at North Elementary

Our program is deeply rooted in the concept of community. The classroom supports diversity, working together, decision-making, cooperative learning and experience, and a strong sense of belonging. The aim is to create a safe, familiar environment for children to learn and grow together. We are a community of learners, rather than a collection of students and teachers. We share a commitment to each other and a common sense of purpose.

Curriculum at Summit Academy is hands-on, child-centered, and active. Activities in the studies are concrete and engaging. There are no text programs. All of our learning comes from the ingenuity and resources at our disposal. Children become self learners.

Our Beliefs

Students will use encouragement and empathy toward themselves and others to develop strengths and overcome weaknesses.
