Transportation Information

 

The Summit Academy transportation department began transporting students in the fall of the 2001-2002 school year with two buses and a rider list of approximately 55 students.  Since that time, we have grown to nine buses, currently employing 11 drivers and two bus aides, and we have logged over 420,000 miles and are transporting over 300 students daily.  In addition, we have passed 100% of our school buses during the Michigan State Police School Bus Inspections the past 5 years, and fully expect the same results in the future. (Recent years MSP Bus Inspection results can be found here.)  It is the goal of this department to ensure the safe transportation of your child when they are in our care, and to be able to do this in a time sensitive manner.  Whether you are a parent, a student or an employee, we hope that the information contained in these pages will assist you in securing daily transportation, checking schedules, or in setting up a trip for a classroom or athletic team.
